Meet Nate...
Nate is a retired police officer from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and a proud father of three grown sons, as well as a happy grandfather.
During his time at LVMPD, Nate received special training and joined the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), where he handled cases involving people with mental health or substance abuse problems. He also served on the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), helping during high-stress SWAT situations like hostage incidents. Nate was also a Training and Counseling Officer (TAC) at the police academy, teaching new recruits about dealing with mental health crises, addiction, domestic violence, and good communication skills.
While his work was fulfilling, it also exposed him to significant trauma, leading to his own challenges. Nate sought help that transformed his life and this process inspired him to focus on helping others facing similar challenges.
Inspired by his journey, Nate founded Ultimate Addiction Resource in 2014. The organization helps first responders and their families with addiction and mental health issues, aiming to fight the stigma around these topics. Nate also volunteers with peer support networks and crisis lines for law enforcement officers and their families.
After retiring, Nate began working with treatment centers around the country, becoming a trusted expert in addiction recovery. He realized that many people relapsed because of poor aftercare planning, so he developed better strategies to help people stay on track after treatment.
Nate wrote three books to share his knowledge: “Anchor of Support – A Revolutionary Approach to Addiction Intervention,” “The Addiction Aftercare Formula,” and “The Addiction Reset Formula.” He now travels the world, teaching medical professionals, counselors, and therapists the importance of aftercare planning and how it can change lives.
Nate finds great joy in working 1-on-1 with clients, helping them through every step of their recovery and personal growth.
Outside of work, Nate loves staying active. He enjoys running, lifting weights, basketball, volleyball, swimming, pickleball, and has recently taken up kitesurfing. He’s also a huge fan of hockey, basketball, and football. As a hobby, Nate does stand-up comedy, using humor to connect with others and share his belief that life should be enjoyed together.
Nate’s mission is to help people live addiction-free, happy, and fulfilling lives, supporting them every step of the way.
